Diagnosis: Maury
(1976) characterized the genus as follows:
Nothopuginae con
los tarsos II y III con 1.2/2.4 espinas y con los tarsos IV con
2.2.2/2.4 espinas. Dedo móvil de los quelíceros sin dien medio; no
hay diente basal interno. Dedo fijo de los quelíceros con 2 anteriores.

Comments:
Maury (1976) observed that, within this genus, it may be difficult to
identify females and juveniles to species, and pointed out that this
is a widespread problem in the Solifugae.
