The subfamily Melanoblossinae Roewer 1933, distributed in southern Africa and Namibia, contains five genera and 15 species:  Daesiella (1 species), Lawrencega (7 species), Melanoblossia (4 species), Microblossia (1 species), and Unguiblossia (2 species).
