Ocean Beach in San Francisco as the raven was foraging. The
Common Raven is North America's largest songbird, up to 27" long.
This jet-black, thick-billed scavenger ranges from the deserts of Mexico
to the Alaskan tundra. It frequently enters city backyards in the
winter, feeding on dog food and other human-provided food.
