Type species: Galeades achrapus Dufour, 1861, by
original designation.
Distribution: north Africa, Asia.

Original description (Roewer 1933: 279):
"Mit den Merkmalen der Familie und 2. und 3. Tarsus
ventral mit je 1.1 Dornen, sowie 4. Tarsus ventral mit 2.2.2 Dornen
bewehrt."
Translation: With the
characteristic features of the family and 2nd and 3rd tarsi ventral with
ever 1.2 spines, also 4th tarsus armed ventrally with 2.2.2 spines.
