HOLOTYPE: United States. California: Imperial County - 10 mi. S of Salton Sea, 30 September 1967 (J. Bigelow, S. Goradenski, and M. A. Cazier), 1 female.  Deposited in the California Academy of Sciences. 

Original description
 Muma, 1989: 24, figs. 34-35:

FEmale holotype: Total length, 24.0 mm.

         Coloration in alcohol very pale yellow but similar to branchi and ivei.
        Structure similar to branchi.  There is a distinct mesal tooth on movable finger, but no intermediate tooth behind principal tooth of fixed cheliceral finger.  Cheliceral pattern shown in figure 34.  Opercula in figure 35.  Six widely spaced tiny trace ctenidia on first post-spiracular abdominal sternite.
