HOLOTYPE: Mexico. Coahuila: 14 mi. SSW of Quatro Cienegas, 9 August 1968 (S. C. Williams, M. M. Bentzien, J. Bigelow, and W. L. Minckley), 1 male.  Deposited in the collection of the California Academy of Sciences.  PARATYPE: Mexico. Coahuila: Cuatro Cienegas Basin, 2.9 mi. SE Rancho Orozco, 11 August 1968 (S. C. Williams, M. M. Bentzien, W. L. Minckley), 1 male.  Deposited in the collection of the California Academy of Sciences. 

Original description
 Muma, 1986: 6, figs. 14, 15:

maleS: Total length 28.0 to 31.0mm.  Holotype larger measurements.

        Coloration in alcohol pale with no distinctive markings.
       Structure similar to that of other species of the group and as indicated in figure 14 of the chelicerae, figure 15 of the ctenidia, and above measurements and ratios.  The mesoventral apical group of spine-like setae on the palpal femora and teh basal group on tibiae vary from 10 to 12 and 1 to 2 respectively
